Going Through Changes | Naiomi Glasses | Handwoven

"Going Through Changes" is the perfect addition to any home. This is the second full-size blanket that Naiomi Glasses has woven, the first being a third phase wearing blanket. The size specifications (32” x 53.5”) are close to many children’s wearing blankets from the mid to late 19th century.
 
The name is a nod to how long the weaving took, starting in March of 2022 and completing in March of 2023, and how through that year, many changes happened in Naiomi's life. Along with that, the red background on the rug itself started as scarlet and gradates into crimson.
 
To stay true to the spirit of traditional wearing blankets it is handwoven using 100% Navajo Churro Wool. With age, the long churro fibers will begin to break in and the blanket will begin to drape. Expertly dyed with aniline dyes, this blanket will be sure to make a statement in any room. With its intricate patterns and beautiful colors, this blanket is sure to be a treasured keepsake in any family.
